New York City offices and apartments, as well as in suburban and
country houses in Connecticut, Westchester and recently Millbrook,
among others.
She is interested in the preservation
of historical buildings as examples of art and culture and has augmented
her knowledge with studies of architectural history and preservation
techniques at Columbia University's School of Architecture. She
is also a member of
The American Friends of the Georgian Group
as well as
The National Trust for Historical Preservation.
Ten years ago, Ms. Zimring expanded
her business to focus on Dutchess County where she became co-owner
of
The Red Shutters, a delightful upmarket country shop
in Pine Plains. She has since bought and restored the 1850's Greek
Revival cottage which she uses as a second office.
